The J100-ST Wooden Tripod is one of the most versatile wooden tripods we make. By itself it only stands from 12 inches / 30.5 cm to 31 inches / 79 cm tall.
When paired with the A700 extension legs, which are Included, it can stand between 60 inches/152 cm to 120 Inches / 304 cm.

The J100-ST Wooden Tripod is a kit that combines J900-2 with the A700 Extension legs. The J100-ST Wooden kit sells for less than the two items purchased separately.
This kit combination provides the user with a wide range of options. This little big-rig has got you covered.
Please see the A100-ST for similar pictures. The only difference between the A100-ST and the J100-ST is the platter size. The A100-ST platter is 6 inch. The J100-ST is has a 4 Inch platter, as shown here on the left
When the A700 Extension Legs are attached but fully retracted, the tripod is at normal eye level height and can be set to a range heights between 36 inches / 91.44 to 60 inches / 152.4 cm.
Whether you are photographing a macro of an Arctic Lichen, or the Mosta Cathedral over the heads of a large crowd, this does it all.
The J100-ST with a crown size of 4 inches/10.16cm is for long lens digital cameras with digital backs, professional video cameras, and 4X5 up to 8X10 large format cameras weighing as much as 55 pounds / 25 kg.
Ries J Series Wood Tripods feature the Tri-Lock mechanism making them the most stable tripod in the industry.
They are made standard from Eastern Hard Rock Maple or custom made from one of our Special Wood selections. Special Wood selection is considered a custom which can take an additional 2-3 weeks for delivery.
The J100-ST is available with 1/4″-20 or 3/8″-16 mounting screws.

The J100-ST without the A700 Extension Legs weighs just 7 pounds / 3.44 kg and 12 pounds / 5.44 kg with the A700 Extension Legs attached.
Optional bronze knobs are available for an additional $96, and add one (1.5) pound/.55 kg to the total weight. All Ries Tripods come with the traditional Star Knobs.
The J Series Tripod Heads are recommended for use with this tripod. Maximum camera weight is 88 lbs / 40 kg, when used in conjunction with a J Series Head.
