Deardorff 8 X 10 Tripod and Head recommendation

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Question: I have an 8 x 10 Deardorff field camera what tripod and head do you recommend?

The A100 Tripod with the A250 Head was specifically designed for the Deardorff 8 X 10, originally as the “B” models back in 1937.  In 1953 Ries added the Ries Tri-Loc System to the tripods and the Ries Finger Leaves to the heads, giving them their “A” model designations we know today. This is the famous combo that you see in photos of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. By the way, we have this exact tripod and head in our showroom!

The A System Bundle is the same tripod and head but comes all together with a bag and leather pads. #riestripod #largeformatphotography #photography #tripods #fineartphotography #landscapephotography #portraitphotography
