The New and Improved Ries H100 Wooden Tripod is the worlds lightest Tripod specifically designed for the digital SLR, the H100 is the second most popular tripod we make. It easily handles a wide range of formats, and at just 4.5 pounds / 2.04 kg with standard anodized aluminum knobs, it is extremely portable.
When paired with the Acratech GXP Head, shown below, you will have the lightest and strongest Tripod and Head setup in the industry. Even lighter than any professional carbon fiber tripod and head systems.
Ries wooden tripods are specifically made from “tone woods” or AKA; “tonewoods”, (look it up).
The H100 Wooden Tripod is designed for professional DSLR, medium format, and professional video cameras up to 50 pounds / 22 kg.
Ries H Series Tripods feature the Tri-Lock mechanism making them the most stable tripod in the industry. They are made standard from Eastern Hard Rock Maple or custom made from one of our Special wood selections. The H100 is available with 1/4″-20 or 3/8″-16 mounting screws.
